Grinnell-Newburg School Foundation
The Grinnell-Newburg School Foundation supports teachers, administrators and students by funding innovative grants and projects that typically fall outside of standard school budgets. The School Foundation is committed to providing community support, local engagement and monetary resources to enhance the education of every student.
Since its inception in 2006, the School Foundation has awarded more than 120 mini-grants to educators through a simple, twice-annual application process. These teacher-driven proposals, amounting to nearly $300,000, have supported technology in the classroom, innovative furniture, leadership opportunities, library resources and outreach projects for at-risk students.
In addition to the mini-grants, the School Foundation sponsors teacher appreciation events, a reimbursement program for classroom supplies for all educators as well as special campaigns for high-value projects such as the grand piano for the high school auditorium.
