HS Math Teacher 24/25 SY

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BA, Iowa Teacher's Certification are required; 7-12 Math Endorsement

  • Previous K-12 teaching experience is prefered, but not required

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Demonstrate the ability to enhance academic performance and support for and implementation of the District’s student achievement goals

  • Meet and instruct assigned classes

  • Use research-based instructional strategies to deliver instruction that meets the multiple learning needs of all students

  • Create a classroom environment that is conductive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of all students

  • Ability to create strong and supportive relationships with colleagues and students

  • Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior

 

Grinnell High School Business Teacher for 24/25 SY  

JOB SUMMARY: Provides instruction in the business curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in high school.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Terms and conditions as established by the Board of Education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and implements programming associated with core business curriculum and competencies to be delivered in a classroom setting for assigned students.
  • Experience teaching General Business, Financial Literacy, Accounting, Marketing, & Business Law preferred, but not required. 
  • Implements the district's business curriculum, standards and benchmarks.
  • Assists in planning and delivery of CTE programming, including marketing & internship opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the administration, school counselors, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals.
  • Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data.
  • Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE:

  • Iowa License with business education endorsements (additional endorsement in 5-12 Mathematics preferred, but not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education required
  • Experience in classroom teaching preferred, but not required.

 

 

Middle School Band Teacher 24/25 SY

  • Certificate, Endorsement or other legal credentials required

  • Degree(s) required in area of major subject

  • Highly qualified Teacher credentials

  • Teaching general styles (genres) of music

  • Planning and implementing a program of instruction and lesson plans

  • Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences

  • Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after school music experiences

  • Building relationships and mentoring students

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Davis Elementary Head Cook (7 hrs/day) 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe certified-- preferred
  • Minimum three years’ experience in food service work
  • Computer Experience
  • Ability to perform basic record keeping, math, and measurement skills
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Friendly and courteous to others

 

Food Service Positions- (2- GHS 3.5 hour, 1- GMS 3.5 hour; 1 - DV 4 hour)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe certified-- preferred
  • Computer Experience
  • Ability to perform basic record keeping, math, and measurement skills
  • Friendly and courteous to others

 

MS Special Education Teacher 24/25 SY

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passenger, Air Brake and School Bus Endorsement
  • Physical and Pre-Employment Drug Test
  • School bus driving class
  • This is an as needed position
