Weekly What’s Going Well:
Another great week to be a Grinnell Tiger! There are a lot of activities happening throughout the district to take advantage of and support our students. Check out the Activities Calendar linked below to find out more.
Some of you may have heard about some social media rumors the past couple days. The situation was investigated by the Grinnell Police Department who determined that it was not a credible threat. The safety of our kids and staff is of utmost concern at all times. Actions will be taken to keep everyone safe if a credible threat were to arise that may put the safety of our students or staff in jeopardy.
In this week’s video, High School Counselor Cass Stubbs, chats about a great opportunity utilizing virtual reality technology to enhance the learning experience for students considering the trades as a potential career path. What an exciting opportunity for our students!
Daily Affirmations
Elementary students across the district engage in a daily affirmation to start each school day. Check out the Bailey Park second graders as they show us their affirmation of “Smart Minds, Kind Hearts, Helping Hands, We Got This!”
Congratulations to Boys Swimmers!
Congratulations to Isaac Rhinehart, Wyatt Sumner, Chase Rundall, Brody Petig, Jeff Sieck, and Ian Durr for qualifying for the State Swim meet! Three different relays will have Tigers in the lanes racing toward victory this Saturday Feb 10th at the University of Iowa pool. Best of Luck Swimmers!

Tiger Paws Competing at Nationals
Best of luck to our Tiger Paws dancers competing this weekend at DTU Nationals in Orlando, Fl. Dancers will perform routines in Spirit Showdown, Pom, Hip Hop, and Jazz. Congratulations Tiger Paws on your accomplishments!
School Counselors and Social Workers Celebrated
In honor of National School Counselors week, the Board of Education named Feb 8th, 2024 as School Counselor and Social Worker Day. Thanks for all you do to support our students, staff, and families across the district! Variety Show Impresses Audience
Student talents were showcased in the Variety Show at GHS Thursday evening. Marvelous performances delighted the audience as our students displayed their talents.
FAST testing gains at Bailey Park and Fairview
Our elementary students recently participated in the Winter FAST testing and our growth rates from Fall to Winter testing are listed below. Congratulations students for continuing to be great learners and building your educational foundation!
