Weekly What’s Going Well:
Happy Friday Grinnell-Newburg Families! Today the class of 2024 enjoyed their last day of school! As a reminder, the last day of school for the rest of the students is Friday May 31st. Take a listen to this week’s video featuring Middle School Principal Nicole James sharing about an updated summer enrichment experience. This will be project based learning and is open to any current 5th - 7th grade student. Sign up your student here.
Congratulations and good luck to all of our Track and Field athletes at the state meet! And best wishes to our other athletes as they continue to prepare for their next event!
In a more behind the scenes update, the district received roughly a $19,000 rebate from Alliant Energy for some of the HVAC and lighting upgrades that were made recently. Thanks to our Facilities team for working hard on the improvements!
8th Graders Enjoy Annual Campout
The campers returned today and we were able to get a couple pictures of the fun!
5th Graders Learn at Diamond Lake
Our fifth graders enjoyed the weather and learned about water quality, bats, completed a solar hike, and a habitat game presented by the DNR!

Information can be found on the ‘Registering My Student’ tab at the top of the district website or by clicking the links below. All students need to register and update their information each year. Summer LINK Enrollment is Open
Looking for care for your child this summer? Check out the Summer LINK program! This year’s program has added some special camp weeks as well as the pool days, special classes, and field trips! Reach out to director@linkgrinnell.org with any questions.
Snow Make Up Days
The school board passed a motion to add two snow make up days to the end of the school year. School will be held the full week after Memorial Day with an early out on Friday May 31st as the last day of the 23-24 school year.
