I wanted to continue to draw your attention to the great things the Iowa Association of School Boards is doing in their campaign The Promise of Iowa.  Please take a moment visit the Promise of Iowa website, http://promiseiowa.org/, particularly the Promise Stories and the Take Action Tab.  What a wonderful thing it would be to have all our families and community rallying behind our students in this great endeavor.  

Summer school has been off to a great start, and I would like to thank all our teachers who continue to work with our students throughout the summer months.  I would like to remind our parents that after a week off our programming will resume this Monday, July 10.  

This coming Wednesday, July 12 the Board of Education will be holding a meeting, and you can find the agenda, and all board agendas, on our website, under the District tab, in the Board of Education section.  I encourage all family and community members to stay involved and updated on what goes on in our district throughout the year.

Please remember to put one of our Classroom Learning Environment Sessions on your calendar, for either August 30 or September 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Drake Library.  I would very much appreciate your input!  invite
