Grinnell-Newburg School Board Continues Superintendent Search
Grinnell, Iowa (February 9, 2024) — The Grinnell-Newburg Community School District Board of Education is continuing its search for the district’s next superintendent.
The Board of Education met in a Special Session on February 9th. The Board is officially announcing its intention to open the application process for the position of Interim Superintendent for the 2024-2025 school year. After thorough consideration and exploration of multiple options, the Board has decided this is the best option to move the District forward.
The decision to open the application process comes after careful deliberation on the best path forward for our students, staff, and community. The Board is committed to finding a candidate who embodies the values of our district, demonstrates a proven track record of leadership, and has a clear vision for enhancing the educational experience for all students.
The Board will begin accepting applications immediately, with a deadline for submission set for March 15, 2024. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the job posting and application requirements on the district's website and Iowa Works. Applicants will be screened and interviews will be held with a decision made later this spring.
